HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! What a wonderful country we live in. Recently it was said that this country was no longer a Christian Nation. Well I think that we are. The principles that this nation was founded upon some 200 plus years ago are still sound today. The Golden Rule spoke of by so many “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” still applies today as it did in the time of Christ. Our forefathers looked to the Book of books the Holy Bible when writing the Declaration and the Constitution believing that this country should remain so. Many of our ancestors fled Europe because of religious persecution and they founded the Colonies based on their right to worship as they chose. What does that have to do with real estate you may ask? Well underlying the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics is the “GOLDEN RULE”. The Principle set apart in the teachings of Christ is the underlying foundation for all Realtors to follow. With all of this said, I want to wish all of you a safe and happy 4th of July. Be safe, have fun, and give thanks to the Almighty for the ability to still celebrate the right to live and breath free.
